TELEPHONE
RECORDER
These are simplified automatic telephone
recording devices in various long play formats. These units offer
excellent durability, unsurpassed long play sound quality, and features
not found on any other unit of its kind. Just plug into any standard
telephone jack, place unit in "record" mode and it’s ready to
go. When any phone on line is picked up, the unit automatically starts
recording both sides of the conversation. Upon hang up, the unit stops
recording and awaits the next incoming or outgoing call. A specially
designed "audio enhance circuit" automatically increases the
volume of the caller so the recording is clear even if the calling party
is talking low. The unit features silent operation and auto-stop at the
end of the tape. These units have two speed operation allows for
"quick review" playback. Most use as a standard long play
recorder when disconnected from telephone.
There
are two main styles of phone recorders: Voice activated and line activated
phone recorders. Voice activated recorders start and stop based upon
sound, while line activated recorders are looking for voltage changes on
the phone lines. In our opinion, line activated recorders are a far
